News: Town Line (17 May 1934)
Source: Neillsville Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 17 May 1934 Town Line Friends and neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. Emma Fazel dropped in and surprised them Friday evening to let them celebrate their 8th wedding anniversary. It was also Mrs. Irvin Ambrose’s birthday. Clare Davie was through this way assessing Monday and had dinner at Otto Schmidtke’s, A. B. Strey was also a dinner guest. R. B. Jewel of Richland County came to visit on his farm at Otto Schmidtke’s. Mrs. Chas. Emeling, Mrs. Walter Minett, Mrs. I. J. Ambrose, Mrs. Paul Schmidtke, Mrs. Otto Schmidtke and Mrs. Floyd McCann were those from the Rural Social and Study club that attended the county meeting of Women’s club at Neillsville Thursday. All enjoyed the day. Heathville School closed with a picnic Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Emeling were at Christie to a card party Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Emeling and family spent Sunday evening at Fred Emeling’s at Chili. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Schmidtke and daughters and R. B Jewel spent Sunday at Floyd McCann’s. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Warrel and Miss Mildred Smith of Waupaca and Wm. Dankemyer spent Sunday at W. W. Smith’s. Paul Schmidtke and Clara Davis autoed to Waupaca after Victor Anderson’s household goods Friday. Mrs. H. Schmidtke went as far as Stevens Point with them and spent the afternoon there. Joyce and Duane Schmidtke spent Friday with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. I. J. Ambrose. Mr. and Mrs. Fazel spent Sunday at Irvin Ambrose’s.
