Lenzkow, Alice (Marriage – 2 Sept. 1934)

At a ceremony performed Sunday afternoon, Sept. 2, at 2 o’clock in the parsonage of the Lutheran church at Neillsville in the presence of immediate friends and relatives, Miss Alice Lenzkow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Lenzkow became the bride of LaVerne Rowe, son of Mrs. Elsie Rowe of Neillsville. The Rev. W. A. Baumann performing the ceremony.

Te bride is the tastefully dressed in blue velvet with matching accessories and carried a bouquet of pink roses and swansonias. The groom wore navy blue.

Miss Dorothy Lenzkow, sister of the bride was bridesmaid, and was dressed in wine color velvet with accessories to match and wore a corsage of yellow roses and swansonias.

Mr. Joseph Rasch, cousin of the bride was best man and wore a suit of oxford grey.

After the ceremony the young people returned to the home of the bride, which was prettily decorated in pink and white.

As they entered a cousin of the bride, Miss Marian Janousek of Oak Park, Ill., played “I Love You Truly”. Another cousin, Miss Edna Rasch sang. A dinner was served at 4 o’clock and covers were laid for 35. In the evening a miscellaneous shower and dance were held in their honor at Hakes Pavilion. Both of these young people have lived in Neillsville all their lives and have a host of friends.

The out of town guests were Mrs. M. Triska, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Rasch and family, Miss Marian Janousek, all of Chicago.
