Kaddatz, Lillian G. (Marriage – 20 Oct. 1934)

Miss Lillian G. Kaddatz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Kaddatz of the town of Levis, was married at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 20 to William Meier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Meier, town of Levis. Rev. William Bauman officiated at the double ring ceremony which was performed in St. John’s Lutheran Church. Decorations were blue, pink and white crepe paper and flowers. E. Seivert played “Here Comes the Bride,” and Mrs. Bauman sang, “Take Thou My Hands and Lead Me.”

Miss Bessie Rizner of the town of Washburn was maid of honor. She also was attended by Lenore Bartz, her cousin. Miss Alice Lukas and flower girl and Miss Gracie Bauman, ring bearer. The groom was attended by his brother, Arthur Meier, and Raymond Kaddatz, brother of the bride.

The bride was attired in a gown of white satin and carried a bouquet of pink roses and white chrysanthemums. Her veil was the one her mother wore on her wedding. Miss Rizner wore pink satin and carried pink asters. Miss Bartz was dressed in blue silk crepe and carried blue daisies.

After the ceremony a dinner was given at the home of the bride’s parents, 45 guests being present. The wedding cake was baked by Mrs. Roland Wagner. The home was beautifully decorated with crepe paper and flowers and a large white bell was hung in the colonnade. Dinner was served by candle light.

The couple left on a motor trip through the southern part of the state and will be at home of the bride’s parents, Oct. 27.

Both the groom and the bride are very likeable young people and enjoy the warm friendship of all who know them. The bride graduated from the Neillsville highs school with the class of 1934.
