Two grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mess, pioneer residents of the city of Marshfield, were married on February 26th at a double wedding ceremony at the Mess home. The Rev. Oswald Henzel, pastor of Immanuel’s Lutheran Church performed the ceremony.

Miss Violet Salzwadel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Salzwadel of Loyal, became the bride of Lorenz Mess, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mess, of Marshfield and Miss Sylvia Sorenson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sorenson, and a granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mess, became the bride of Joseph Kudrika of Sheboygan.

Both brides wore floor length formal dresses of white satin with embroidered tulle veils, held in place with circlets of rhinestones, both carried shower bouquets on white roses.

An informal reception was held immediately after the ceremony and later a wedding supper was served to immediate relatives and a few intimate friends. Among those present from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Salzwadel, Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Art Hendrickson and family of Loyal, Miss Hilma Lenz, Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Seehafer, Miss Mary Kudriko, and Al Garisch all of Sheboygan.

Mr. and Mrs. Mess will make their home at 300 Palmetto Street, Marshfield. Mr. and Mrs. Kudriko plan to leave Friday for Sheboygan, where they will live.
