Hardrath, Henry (18 March 1885 – 13 Aug. 1955)

HENRY HARDRATH DIES SUDDENLY SATURDAY

Henry Hardrath died Saturday morning at 8:00 o’clock at the age of 70 years while milking at the farm of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Frane, in the town of Colby, a heart attack being the cause of his death. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1:00 o’clock at the Frane home, William Baker of Unity officiating and interment was made in the Colby Cemetery. Pall bearers were Gelbert and Eldred Shuette, Harland Roeck, Hatland and Alvin Hardrath and Glen Fischer, all nephews.

Mr. Hardrath was born in Croolsston, Minn., on March 18, 1885, and came to the town of Green Grove with his parents when 18 months of age. He married Mabel Roeck in Green Grove on June 26, *1912. They farmed in this area until several years ago when he and his wife moved to the home of their daughter.

Surviving are his wife; four children, Donald Hardrath of Cicago, Ill., Allen Hardrath of Medford, Ore., Leland Hardrath of Marshfield and Mrs. Alvin (Lila) Frane of Colby; three brothers, Herman and Louis of the town of Green Grove and Albert of Loyal; three sisters, Mrs. Elwood Fischer of Owen, Mrs. William Baker of Unity and Mrs. Clara Nelson of Loyal, and sever grandchildren.
