HARDRATH LANDS MOVIE ROLE
Dory Kay Hardrath, a student at UW-Platteville and the daughter of Mrs. Faith Sonnemann of Rt. 2, Colby will be appearing in the Rodney Dangerfield movie, “Back to School,” with was filmed on the UW-Madison campus in October.
Hardrath is a model with Beautiful People International, a Madison modeling agency. Though she missed the call for extras in the movie, she went to where the film company was shooting and was hired by director Robert Cohen on the spot, according to the UW-Platteville student newspaper.
Between 40 and 180 extras were used for each day of the five days of shooting. The days sometimes were 11-12 hours long, Hardrath said. She had no speaking parts, but appeared in several scenes, one with the major actors.
