(17 JUN 1930) A very pretty wedding took place Tuesday, June 17, 1930, when Miss Kathryn G. Chaplinski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Florian Chaplinski of Polley, and Mr. Geo. H. Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hansen of Thorp, Clark Co., Wis., were united in holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. Father Kolman in St. Peter and Paul Church in Gilman. The bride was attended by Miss Mildred Kadlec, Miss Marie Chaplinski, a cousin of the bride, and little Hedwig Chaplinski, who acted as flower girl, carrying a shower basket of roses and sweet peas. The bride wore a white lace and tulle dress and carried a bouquet of roses, lilies of the valley and ferns. The bridesmaids wore dresses of green chiffon with hats to match and carried bouquets of roses and sweet peas. The groom was attended by Mr. Marlyn Chaplinski, a cousin of the bride, and Mr. Joe Sniegowski. The groom and groomsmen wore suits of conventional blue. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the bride’s home for about 350 guests. Many pretty useful presents were presented to the happy couple. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hansen will resume their work for the time being. Mrs. Hansen for the past three years was a nurse in Milwaukee and at present is nursing at the Medford Clinic. Mr. Hansen will continue his work as carpenter. Those who attended the wedding from out of town were Mrs. S. Turner and son of Washington, Mr. and Mrs. John Suel of New Holstein, Wis., Miss Mildred Kadlec of Milwaukee, Marie and Marlyn Chaplinski of Chicago, and Miss Rachel Schuld, Miss Ruth Parkhill and Mrs. Robert Ekland of Medford. |
