Elstrom, Anna (30 Dec. 1893 – 30 May 1988)

Colby – Anna Elstrom, 94, of the Continental Nursing Home in Abbotsford, died Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford. The Rev. Daniel Ahrens will officiate. Burial will be in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Rux Funeral Home in Colby after 4 p.m. Thursday.

She was born Dec. 30, 1893, in Green Grove, to Henry and Minnie Molle. She attended the Green Grove Schools.

She was married to Ole Elstrom Aug. 12, 1913, in Minnesota. He died May 26, 1981.

They farmed near Colby for 40 years. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Abbotsford, and it’s Ladies Aid.

She is survived by seven daughters, Mrs. John (Inez) Rossi of Westboro, Mrs. Fred (Arlene) Foker of Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Jesse (Lorraine) Contraes and Mrs. John (Jeanette) Frisoli, both of Chicago, Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Kollmansberger, and Mrs. Arno (Evelyn) Kolski, both of Loyal, and Mrs. Chester (Mildred) Stephens of Spencer; four sons, Glen of Elmwood, Ill.; Donald of Highwood, Ill.; Charles of Lake Forest, Ill., and Dunae of Minneapolis; one brother, Henry of Unity; one sister, Frieda Hendrickson of Spencer; 42 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, one brother, three sisters, one daughter, and one grandson.
