Crawford, Olive (JUN 1932)

News has been received that the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. Fisher, Davenport, Iowa was the scene of a pretty wedding when Miss Olive Crawford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Crawford, Canada, became the bride of Elmer Elstrom of Owen, Wis.

They were attended by Miss Mary Culver and Mr. Lloyd Bealer, both of Davenport. Before the ceremony Miss Delilah Fisher, cousin of the bride played “Flower Song” and strains of the “Bridal Chorus” from Lohengrin were played as the bridal couple took their place before an altar of peonies and ferns. The bride wore a gown of ponder blue chiffon and carried a bouquet of pink roses. Miss Culver wore a gown of pink chiffon and carried roses also.

A wedding dinner was served after the ceremony. Covers were laid for about 20 and decorations were pink and blue. Open house was held from 7 to 10 p.m. when many friends called to extend their congratulations to the couple. Later in the evening Mr. and Mrs. Elstrom left on a motor trip after which they will reside on a farm at Atwood.

The bride was a graduated from the Miles, Iowa high school and from Nurses Training School of Finley hospital in Dubuque. She has been residing in Brooklyn, N. Y. for the past four years. Mr. Elstrom is a well known and ambitious farmer at Atwood. The well wishes of all their friends follow them.
