BioA: Kenyon, Mr/Mrs. Edward - 50th EDWARD KENYONS, LOYAL, MARK GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY ON SUNDAY Spencer - The golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kenyon was celebrated on Sunday afternoon at the farm home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kenyon, who live about three and one-half miles northeast of Spencer. At 4 o’clock a dinner was served to approximately 75 guests and in the evening cards were played after which a midnight lunch was served. Mrs. Kenyon, the former Miss Edna Fuller, was born at Unity on Feb. 10, 1882, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Fuller. Her husband was born in New York State, Jan. 2, 1872. They were married in Spencer, Dec. 4, 1899, the marriage being performed by Sam Pickett, justice of the peace. After their marriage they lived on a farm near Tunnel City and in 1907 they moved to Unity where Mr. Kenyon conducted a dray and delivery business. He was also employed in the Box Factory. In 1926 they moved to Riplinger where they lived until 1937, later returning to Unity. Since the spring of 1942 they have made their home with their son, Keith, on a farm near Loyal. Ten children were born to them, one of whom died in infancy, One son, Pfc. Lorsin, who is in the Army and stationed at Fort Lewis, Wash., was the only one unable to attend the celebration. The other eight children and families were present at the gathering and included Mr. and Mrs. Walter (Helen) Kleinschmidt, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph (Bessie) Wienke, Glenwood City; Mr. and Mrs. Lester Kenyon, Mr. and Mrs. Lester (Pearl) Morrison, Lee and Lloyd Kenyon, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kenyon, Unity, and Keith Kenyon, at home. They also have 19 grandchildren. The honored couple received many gifts and a purse of money from the many relatives, neighbors, and friends who came to extend their congratulations.
