Hardrath, Mr./Mrs. Walter (Golden – 27 July 1991)

Walter and Mary Hardrath, Spencer, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party on July 27, 1991, hosted by their family.

Member of the original wedding party who attended were Frederick Hardrath, Spencer, and Mrs. Harold (DorthaLeen) Hardrath, Owen.

Walter was born in Riplinger to Henry W. Hardrath and Anna (Kuester) Hardrath, on Sept. 28, 1917. He attended school in Riplinger, and McKinley High in Marshfield. He farmed in the town of Beaver from 1940-50. He owned the Spencer ??? Shop for 11 years, worked at ???, Spencer, for 9 years, and at Pittsville Homes for 10 years. He enjoys fishing, ballgames, and is a handyman.

Mary was born in Atwood to Elmer and Lulus Edwards on Dec. 28, 1921. She attended school in Atwood and worked at Karaus Supermarket as a clerk for 16 years. She enjoys crafts and ballgames.

They were married on July 23, 1941, in the town of Green Grove. They had four children: Nona Schulz, Spencer; Fern Treptow, Abbotsford; Fay Reno, Stratford; and Donna Gueths, Shawano. They have 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
