The Rev. DuWayne Schneider will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Alexander, Craig Polzin, David Schmitt, Dale Lindekugel and Ken and Bob Knecht. Visitation will be at Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, after 4 p.m. Thursday and then at the church after 10 a.m. Friday. He was born May 1, 1923, in the town of Green Grove, Clark County, to Ernest and Birdenna (Ball) Alexander. He attended Elmwood School, town of Green Grove. He married Ardina Knecht Nov. 23, 1946, in the town of Green Grove. He farmed in the town of Green Grove until his marriage. He and his wife then moved to the town of Beaver and farmed there until retirement. They moved to Spencer in 1990. He had been in ill health for the last two years. He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and held various offices at the church. He is survived by his wife; one son, Leonard “Lennie” of Reedsburg; two daughters, Emily Molle of Unity and Debbie Alexander of Spencer; two brothers, Roscoe of Whitewater and Walter of Loyal; two sisters, Leora Lange of Milwaukee and Esther Millen of Fennimore; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his parents and three brothers. *Noted in margin was the death date. |
