A very pretty wedding took place Wednesday, September 14, at 2:30 P. M. in the Salem Lutheran Church at Veefkind, when Miss Ethel Vanderhoof, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Vanderhoof, became the bride of Paul Bymers, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bymers. The double ring service was performed by the Rev. August Quandt, Mrs. Selma Dietz played the wedding march.

Miss May Bymer, sister of the groom, served as maid of honor, Miss Mildred Vanderhoof, cousin of the bride, was flower girl and little Carroll Voelker, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

The groom was attended by Archie Blattler and Vern Martin, the latter a cousin of the bride.

The bride wore an ankle length gown of white satin with lace trim and a long veil arranged in cap effect caught with rhinestones with all white accessories completing her costume. She carried an arm bouquet of roses.

Miss Bymers wore a deep pink satin dress with headband to match and blond slippers, her dress was ankle length, as also was Miss Vanderhoof’s whose dress was orchid satin and net with the same idea carried out in the headband and other accessories, both carried bouquets of roses and swansonia.

The groom wore a suit of blue, the attendants had brown suits. The little flower girl was very dainty in a pale green silk chiffon gown with head band to match. The ring bearers were neat and manly, in a little white suit.

The house was prettily decorated for the occasion with orchid, green and white twisted streamers and cut flowers.

The table waiters were: Eleanor Genett, Eva and Arlene Plath, Irene Hoops, Lucile Meleuthin and the ladies who managed the dishes were Miss Florence Smith of Vesper and Miss Cora Reinheimer of Marshfield.

Out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs.William Bymers, Mrs. John Smith, Florence and Tom Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Epa De Bor of Vesper, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Smith and daughter, Mary Ellen, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smith and sons of Wis. Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Bymers and family of Pittsville and Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Vinger of Greenwood.

A reception was held at the bride’s home immediately after the ceremony and dinner was served to nearest relatives and a few friends. A rousing old time chivarie party played them several numbers in various kinds of instruments in the evening, being payed off with a generous treat.

The young couple will begin house keeping on a farm near Vesper. We wish them happiness and extend our congratulations.
