Surnames: MATHISON STONEBERG Source: GREENWOOD GLEANER (Greenwood, Wis.) 03/14/1907 Mathison, Martin (29 OCT 1838 – 12 MAR 1907) Martin Mathison, for thirty-five years a resident of Clark County, Wis., died at his home two and one-half miles southeast of Greenwood, Clark County, Wis., at 11 o’clock p.m. Tuesday, following an illness of three weeks, aged 68 years. The funeral will occur Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Methodist Church, Rev. W.T. Hendren officiating, assisted by Rev. J.J. Robinson, pastor of the church. The deceased was a native of Norway. He was one of the old settlers of this vicinity and highly respected for his integrity and many good qualities. A wife, four sons, John of Alberta, Canada, Albert and Henry, both at home, and Ben, now dead; and two daughters, Mrs. Bert Stoneberg and Miss Annie, comprise the family. |
