Surnames: LEACH YORKSTON BEECHER Source: CLARK COUNTY REPUBLICAN & PRESS (Neillsville, Wis.) 06/24/1920 Leach, Neva P. (Marriage – 16 JUN 1920) A very pretty wedding was had at the R.C. Beecher home at 8 o’clock Wednesday evening, when their granddaughter, Miss Neva Pearl Leach was, with Mr. Leslie W. Yorkston, united in the holy bonds of matrimony. Rev. W. Mallory tied the official knot. The bride wore a charming dress of white net over white silk and carried a shower bouquet of sweet pears and lilies of the valley. She was attended by her sister, Miss Frances Leach, who wore a pretty dress of blue silk and carried a bouquet of white roses and forget-me-nots. The groom was attended by Mr. Harland Kintzele, a close friend. The bride, a charming refined young lady, a daughter of Mr. Adolph Leach of Grand Rapids, is a graduate of Grand Rapids High School and thereafter was a clerical employee in the Register of Deeds office in Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., until overtaken by appendicitis there last winter, and through this illness, obliged to give up work. The groom, a son of Mrs. Catherine Yorkston of Neillsville, a quiet, efficient young businessman, held a clerkship with Clerk of Court Geo. A. Ure of Neillsville for seven years, and only resigned there last year to accept a better paying position here in the Farmers state Bank. Here by his industry, courteous ways, strict attention to work and business ability, he has made good and found a friend with his every acquaintance. The success and future happiness of this estimable couple seems assured. (Granton News) |
