Krultz, David J. (12 APR 1951 – 30 OCT 2002)

David J. Krultz, 51, Greenwood, Clark County, Wis., died on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, at Grace United Methodist Church, Greenwood. The Rev. Craig Conklin officiated. Pall-bearers were Gary Krause, Harry Johnson, Jack Trunkel, Harvey Goeke, Joe Petkovsek, Juan Geracaris, Roger Schwarze and Jerome Krempasky.

David James Krultz was born on April 12, 1951, in Marsh-field, to Selvian and Victoria (nee Bukovec) Krultz. He was raised on the family farm and educated at the Decker country school and Greenwood Elementary School, and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1969. After his education, he worked for his father at Krultz Construction and farmed on the family farm. He married Deborah Craig on Feb. 12, 1983, at Grace United Methodist Church, Greenwood. He farmed his entire life and at the time of his death was operating the home farm, Broken Wheel Farms. He was a former dealer for Jacques Seeds and was a current dealer for Lemke Seed. He was a former member of the Greenwood/Willard Area Jaycees. He and his wife received the Wisconsin State Jaycees Outstanding Young Farm Couple Award in 1985. He was a member and past president of the Greenwood FFA Alumni and was awarded the Special Service Award from the Clark County FFA Alumni in 2000. He was a member of the county, state and national Holstein Association, was currently serving as a county director, and received the county Distinguished Service Award in 2001. He was a past secretary of the Cooperative Services Clark County Board of Directors. He was a former member of the Greenwood Dairy Days Committee. He and his wife were nomi-nated as the 1995 Dairy Days parade marshals. He was a Willard/ Braun 4-H Club leader. He was a director of the Greenwood Softball Association. His interests included playing softball, hunting, fishing, bowling, collecting farm toys and shooting pool.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah, Greenwood; one son, Douglas Krultz, Eau Claire; one daughter, Jennifer Krultz, Green-wood; his mother, Vicki Krultz, Greenwood; five sisters, Dorothy (John Miller) Galiger, Sun Lake, Ariz., Donna (Jim) Reineke, New Berlin, Barbara (Steve) Koschak, Loyal, Bonnie (Tom) Brierton, Junction City, and Jana (Gary) Greenwald, Marshfield; three brothers, M. Edward (Barbara) Krultz, Greenwood, Ralph (Judy) Krultz, Greenwood, and Gary Krultz, DePere; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, assisted the family with arrangements.
