Surnames: HEIDEMANN FRESE WOOD DOTSON ANDERSEN BALBACH SELZ ANDERSON WAGENER Source: TRIBUNE-RECORD-GLEANER (Loyal, Wis.) 12/11/2002 Heidemann, Lyman (13 OCT 1915 – 4 DEC 2002) Lyman Heidemann, 87, Marshfield, died on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 7, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Globe. Music was provided by Karen Hoppa, organist. The Rev. Kevin Hanke officiated. Burial was in the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, town of Weston. Pallbearers were Donald Heidemann, Duane Heidemann, Craig Balbach, Richard Dotson, Steven Selz and Emmett Heidemann. Lyman Heidemann was born on Oct. 13, 1915, in the town of Reseburg, to Ephraim and Ida (nee Frese) Heidemann. He received his education in Thorp rural schools and Thorp High School. He married Willetta Wood on June 15, 1940, in La Crosse. He drove truck for Al Schneider, Green Bay, from 1936-43, then moved to the town of Seif, where they farmed until 1975. They then moved to the town of Hendren and then to Marshfield in 1998. He drove the Owen and Greenwood Clark County Office on Aging nutrition van from 1977-87 and worked seasonally at Figi’s. His interests included making firewood and gardening. Survivors include his wife, Willetta Heidemann, Marshfield; two daughters, Carolyn (Karl) Andersen, Lake Mills, and Dewella (Philip) Balbach, Blue Mounds; one son, Robert (Judy) Heidemann, Neillsville; six grandchildren, Linda (Rick) Dotson, Oshkosh, Craig (Nancy) Balbach, Mt. Horeb, Lynette Heidemann, Decorah, Iowa, Victoria (Steven) Selz, Loyal, Donald (Kristin) Heidemann, Texas, and Duane Heidemann, Lindstrom, Minn.; eight great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Dotson, Amanda Balbach, Paul Selz, Kayla Selz, Christoper Balbach, Kelsi Selz, Tristen Heidemann and Andrew Brian Heidemann; and nieces, nephews and cousins.. Preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, Tekla Anderson and Rita Wagener; and five brothers, Norman Heidemann, Roland Heidemann, Elmer Heidemann, William Heidemann and Donald Heidemann. Buchanan Funeral Home, Neillsville, assisted the family with arrangements. |
