News: Thorp Courier (17 Sep 1886)
Source: Thorp Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) Stanley Sunbeams (By Vinde?) About a dozen Thorpites are here working in the Helgerson's sawmill which is now cutting Nye Lusk & Hudson's stock of logs. Rufus Labaree, a local farmer, brought 250 lbs of homemade butter into the village Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Helgerson have returned from Waukesha county. Mrs. C. Griswold is on a visit to her paternal home in Pennsylvania. There will be a Donation given for the benefit of Rev. S. A. Abbott, Saturday evening Sept. 25th at Sargent's hall. Come everybody and bring your produce, merchandise, wood or cash. COMMITEE Card of Thanks......We wish to thus publicly thank all friends and neighbors for the many kind services rendered and deep sympathy manifested during the illness and burial of our only child. .............
