Leatherdale, Bernard (January 29, 1904-September 27, 1983)

BERNARD LEATHERDALE

Loyal--Services for Bernard Leatherdale, 79, who was found dead Tuesday morning at the Loyal Hotel, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal.

The Rev. James Logan will officiate with burial in the parish cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 175. Legionnaires will be pallbearers.

Visitation at the Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, and Friday until service time.

He was born Jan. 29, 1904 in the town of Loyal to the late Mr. and Mrs. Amos (Mary Baker) Leatherdale. He received his eduation in Loyal schools.

He was a veteran of World War II serving from September 1942 to January 1945. He was never married. He was employed in construction work and also did painting and wallpapering for Bert Mengel.

A member of Legion Post 175, Mr. Leatherdale is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Irene Stillman and Mrs. Ethel Wicks, both of Granton, and a brother, Gerald of Billingham, Wash. He was predeceased by a sister.
