News: Stanley (24 Aug 1888)
Source: Thorp Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) Stanley Sunbeams (By Vindex) Chas. Doo is seriously ill, with an internal inflammation. Chas. Mosh is reported sick with typhoid fever. Dr. Selden is attending to some our sick folk. Thomas Grant and Ted Fisher left here for Dakota on Monday. Sidewalks are putting in an appearance on some of our streets. John Rick's imposing; butcher shop is nearly finished. H. Allington returned on Friday with a flush of enterprising ideas, acquired by his visiting old settled communities.
