Kissinger, Sarah L. (25 JAN 1867 – 25 MAR 1935)

Mrs. Jacob Kissinger, a resident of the Town of Sherman for the past forty years passed away at her home Monday morning at 7 o’clock after a brief illness. She suffered a stroke Saturday morning from which she did not regain consciousness. She was 68 years 1 month and 20 days old.

Sarah Louise Morgan was born Jan. 25, 1867 at Booten, New Jersey and came to Milwaukee with her parents at the age of fourteen years.

She was married to David Yates and lived in Milwaukee for eight years. Three children were born to this union, two daughters Cora and Ina and one son David who preceded his mother in death thirteen years ago.

On May 11, 1895 she was married to Jacob to Jacob Kissinger of the Town of Sherman where they have since made their home. To this union one son Alvin was born.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, March 20th, at the Spencer Methodist Church by Rev. W. M. Dawson, Nasonville.

Pall bearers were Chauncey Stevens, Lowell Schultz, James and Leonard Griffith, Albert Schroeder and August Rahm.

Those in charge of flowers were Mrs. Julius Schroeder, Mrs. W. Reinheimer, Mrs. August Rahm and three grand daughters Mildred and Bernice Robinson, and Mrs. Hoff (Katherine Dietsche).

She leaves to mourn, her husband, three children Mrs. John Dietsche (Cora), Mrs. John Robinson (Ina), of Milton Junction, and one son Alvin, Town of Fremont; twenty-four grandchildren, nine great grand children and four sisters, Mrs. Helen Berrier, Highland Park, Washington; Mrs. E. Vanderhoof, Door, North Dakota; Mrs. Ethel Gallond, Missouli, Montana; Mrs. Edith Miller, Fargo, North Dakota, and one brother, Daniel Morgan of Washington. Her parents, two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Burial took place at the Spencer Cemetery.
