Surname: Neuman, Hein, Blank, Whitney, Rhoor, Smith, Fehr, Johnson, Blank Source: Scrap book two: by Erna Schenk Price Contributed by Halbert “Bud” Hardrath Neuman, Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence (25th – 26 June 1954) Unity – Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Neuman, Riplinger, greeted approximately 100 relatives, friends and neighbors on the lawn of their farm home on June 26 in observance of their 25th wedding anniversary. A five-tired cake decorated in silver, white, and pink, served as the centerpiece when a buffet supper was served at 6 p.m. It was made by Mrs. Paul Hein, Owen. The Neumans were married June 26, 1929 at the home of her parents in the town of Beaver. Attendants present were Mrs. Viola Blank, Milwaukee; Mrs. Roma Whitney, Sussex, and Adam Rhoor, Owen. The honored couple have four children, Duane, who was recently discharged from the Marines, and Lanonne, Glendon, and Joel, at home. Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Blank and family and Mr. and Mrs. Martin Johnson and family, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Cy Whitney, Sussex; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Fehr and daughter of Stephenson, Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Smith and daughter of Menominee. Friends and relatives were also present from Owen, Colby, Unity, Curtiss, and Spencer. |
