Miss Mildred Mack, Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Mack of Loyal and Mr. Jerome Sterr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sterr of Lomira were united in marriage at 8:00 A. M. June 3, the Rev. Austin Chapman of the Methodist Episcopal Church performing the ceremony in the presence of relatives and friends.

The scene of the sacred service was the Loyal Methodist Church (in Loyal) which had been transformed into a beautiful wedding setting by the willing hands of young friends of the bride and groom. Wedding time was beautifully combined with lilac time as bouquets of lilacs, both purple and white, artistically arranged gave a quiet charm with their beauty and fragrance.

The wedding march played by Miss Elma Prior seemed a part of the lovely scene as the bride attended by Miss Alice Law of Stratford, and the groom attended by his brother Mr. Lee Sterr of Lomira came down the aisles and met at the altar.

The bride wore white shadow organdy and carried a bouquet of white lilacs, forget-me-nots and ferns. Miss Law wore yellow organdy and carried purple lilacs, lilies of the valley, and ferns.

Rev. Chapman read the thirteenth chapter of First Corinthians as the bridal party paused before the altar. Miss Law and Robert Ziegler of Stratford then sang “I Love You Truly”, Miss Law Accompanying on the piano. Rev. Chapman then proceeded with the ceremony in an impressive manner.

After congratulations a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride, the waitresses being the Misses Genevieve Thurber, Lillian Boe, and Doris Degan.

Mr. and Mrs. Sterr left for points in the southern part of the state and expect soon to be at home to their friends in Loyal.

Mrs. Sterr was born in Loyal, finished high school here and since attending Central Teacher’s College at Stevens Point, has been a conscientious and successful teacher in the rural schools near home. She is thus well and favorably known in our community.

Mr. Sterr came to Loyal several years ago and has made many friends among us during his residence here. We congratulate Mr. and Mrs. Sterr and extend our most sincere wishes that their new home life among us may be one of highest service and happiness.
