Surname: Haertel, Smith Source: Neillsville Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 25 July 1935 Haertel, Mrs. Margaret (Marriage – 15 July 1935) At Dundee, Ill., on Monday, July 15th, at high noon, occurred the marriage of Mrs. Margaret Haertel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Haertel, to Mr. Bert Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Halbert Smith of Viroqua. The marriage took place at the home of the bride’s parents. The bride has been the Commercial teacher in the high school at Rhinelander for the past four years. The groom is a graduate of the Viroqua high school and is manager of the Shultz Bros., Variety store at Neillsville. They will be at home in Neillsville after August 1. Bert is one of our local boys, born and raised there, who has made good in his chosen work and is filling a responsible position. His host of friends in the old home town unite in extending congratulations and best wishes. – Fox Valley Herald
