Domer, William (14 MAY 1898 – 14 MAR 1989)

Abbotsford - Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Riplinger, for William C. Domer, 91, who died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Colonial Home Living Center in Colby. The Rev. David Ault will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, Town of Unity. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers and granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, after 4 p.m. today.

He was born May 14, 1898, in the Town of Unity, Clark County, to William and Emelie Domer. He married Esther Schultz April 23, 1918, in Riplinger. She died May 4, 1983.

He farmed in the Town of Unity until 1950. he then served as postmaster in Riplinger until 1966 when he retired and moved to Abbotsford. He entered the nursing home Dec 27, 1988.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council. He was a former supervisor and chairman of the Town of Unity and served on the Equity Board.

He is survived by one son Orville of Kimberly; two daughters, Merle Colby of Milwaukee and Mrs. Russell (Ramona) Bruhn of Marshfield; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he was predeceased by one son Marvin, one daughter Lyla, four brothers, and four sisters.

Memorials may be given in his name to St. John's Lutheran Church, Riplinger.
