Neillsville Briefs

Miss Mayme Searles, Wisconsin Rapids, was a guest Thursday of Drs. Sarah and Milton Rosekrans.

Mrs. Myrtie Davis entertained the York Community Club at dinner Wednesday noon. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Maegdefessel of Neillsville were accepted as new members at the Wedensday meeting.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Cochrane, Morgantwon, W. Va.; and Mrs. Arthur Drescher, Neillsville, visited friends Thursday in Eau Claire. Mr. and Mrs. Cochrane are visiting her sister, Mrs. Margaret Farrand, who returned this week from a Rochester, Minn., hospital.

Mrs. Greta Vollmert is leaving this week to spend the balance of the winter with relatives in California.

Mrs. Clara Nehs has returned from visiting at the homes of her sons, DeWayne in Milwaukee and Franklin in Appleton.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Shaw and family visited her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Hagedorn, in Fond du Lac this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Zille have returned from a trip to Arizona.

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Timerson, who has been living at their farm in Weston Township, north of Neillsville, moved this week to Round Lake, Ill.

The Maynard Prock family of Bettendorf, Iowa, visited this week with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Prock and Mr. and Mrs. Alex Gall.

Mr. and Mrs. Victor Schultz, Eau Claire, visited this week with their parents, Henry Wittke in Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schultz in Weston.

Mrs. George Norton, a daughter of Mrs. Frank Baumel, died last week in LaGrange, Ill., following an extended illness. Funeral services were held in Western Springs, Ill. Mrs. Baumel, who had spent several weeks caring for her daughter, will return home this week.

Mrs. Darrel Hohenstein was honored at a pink and blue shower Thursday at the home of Mrs. George Allbaugh.

Arleigh Syth is a patient in an Eau Claire hospital where he underwent eye surgery last week.

Mrs. Harold Pischer is visiting her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Berle Barkley, in Milwaukee this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Sollberger, Athens, visited this week at the Albert Sollberger home in Neillsville.
