Surname: Gehrt, Noble, Luck, Planteen Source: Marshfield News Herald (Marshfield, Wood County, Wis.) Wed., 7 Jan. 1981; Page 7 Gehrt, William C. (19 July 1893 – 5 Jan. 1981) Neillsville – Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Gesche Funeral home for William C. Gehrt, 87, who died Monday at Memorial Hospital. The Rev. William Noble of United Methodist Church is to officiate and burial will be in Neillsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday and until services Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Gehrt was born July 19, 1893 in Clark County to Henry and Wilhelmina (Luck) Gehrt and received his education here. He worked in California several years, and then returned to the Neillsville area where he worked as rural mail carrier. He also farmed in the town of Levis before retiring and moving to the city. He had resided at Memorial Home the past two years. A member of the United Methodist Church, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Claire Planteen of Roseville, Calif.
