Surnames: THUMS RICE The Loyal Tribune 12 December 1935 Thums, Beatrice (28 NOV 1935) In the presence of immediate relatives, Miss Beatrice Thums, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thums, of this village, exchanged marriage vows with Karl Rice, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Rice, Richland Center, in the parsonage of St. Anthony’s Catholic church, Thursday morning, Nov. 28, at 9:30 o’clock. The Rev. A. J. Aurit officiated. Mrs. Harold Means, sister of the groom, was matron of honor. Earl Thums, brother of the bride, was best man. A rust crepe dress, brown accessories and a shoulder corsage comprised the attire of the bride. Mrs. Means worw a dark green crepe dress, black accessories, and shoulder bouquet. Dinner was served to 16 guests at the home of the bride’s parents. Both the bride and groom are well known here, The bride is a graduate of the Loyal High School, class of 1934 and has been employed part time in the B. W. Colby & Son Store. The groom is a teacher in the Loyal Public School, having been employed in that capacity here since the fall of 1931. He also is instructor of the Loyal Band. Mr. and Mrs. Rice will make their home here, having rented the A. Kreiser house. The Tribune joins their many friends in wishing them happiness.
