BioM: Tessmer, Bernice (1935)
Surnames: MELIA TESMER TESSMER TYLER The Loyal Tribune 16 January 1936 Tessmer, Bernice (31 DEC 1935) A quiet but impressive wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. B. Melia, at Loveland, Colorado, New Years Eve, at 8 o’clock when Miss Bernice Tessmer of Colby, Wis., became the bride of Claude Tyler of Loveland. Rev. M. F. Amelung pastor of the English Lutheran Church read the ceremony in the presence of close friends of the couple. Yuletide decorations and red tapers formed the pretty setting for the wedding. The bride was lovely in a wine-colored velvet dress, and wore an attractive corsage of chrysanthemums. Mrs. Tyler is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Tessmer of Colby, Wis., and has been employed until recently at the Otto Weyhmiller home in this village until she left for Loveland. Mr. Tyler is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Tyler of Granton, Wis., and a graduate of the Bradley college at Peoria, Ill. He has been employed at the Melia Jewelry store since September. Claude will be remembered by many here, having been engaged by many here, having been engaged in business here for about four years, before leaving for Colorado. During the informal reception which followed the ceremony Miss Thelma McNatt played several numbers, and attractive refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Tyler will make their home in Loveland, Colorado. The Tribune joins their many friends in extending best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
