(11 AUG 1878 – 26 OCT 1913) Mrs. Clayton Johnson died at her home in the East Ward, at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon, Oct. 26th, 1913, of locomotor ataxia, after an illness of over six years, aged 35 years, 2 months and 15 days. Colista Isabella Graham was born to James and Mary Graham on the farm in the town of Hull, Marathon Co., Wis., August 11, 1878. She remained at home with her parents and attended the public and high schools, until Oct. 5th, 1895, when she was united in marriage to Clayton S. Johnson, and has resided in this city. Six years ago last June she was stricken with locomotor ataxia, and has been an invalid ever since yet able to be out occasionally. She received the best of care from her husband and children, and they deeply mourn the loss of their wife and mother. Besides her husband, she leaves two children, Oscar Elwin of Spokane, Wash., and Celia Jane, living at home. Also her mother, Mrs. Mary Graham of Waupaca, and five sisters and four brothers, Mrs. Celia Hanson of Kenosha; Mrs. Martha Velie of Waupaca; Mrs. Myrtle Carlyle of Milwaukee; Misses Elsie and Eva of Waupaca; Edward and James of Stevens Point; Richard and Willie of Waupaca, all of whom are here to attend the funeral. Other relatives present are Geo. Johnson of Racine; Hiram Johnson and Willis Fowler of Brothertown. The funeral will be held from the M.E. Church, Friday afternoon, at 2 o’clock, Rev. Braddick officiating.
