The following account of the vent is taken from the Merrill Daily Herald of Saturday, May 24th: “The wedding of Miss Carried Carpenter of this city, and Geo. The bride and groom were attended by Walter Meyer and Miss Lydia Meyer, Erwin Marquardt and Miss Florence Shafer, and the ceremony was performed by Rev. Diab in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends. Following the service the wedding party departed for the home of the groom’s father, Aug. It is expected that at least seventy-five persons will participate at the occasion, many of whom are from Antigo, Wausau, Athens and other neighboring cities. The newlyweds will go to housekeeping shortly and will for the present reside with the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Meyer.” Carrie has hosts of relatives and friends here and in the towns of Wein and Frankfort, who will join the Phonograph in hearty congratulations.
