--------- Franz, Elsie (23 JUN 1913)

A pretty evening wedding was solemnized, Monday, June 23rd, 1913, at half after seven, at the Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.), when Miss Elsie Franz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alb. Franz of Abbotsford, became the bride of August Belter of Merrill, Rev. C.C. Hartenstein read the service.

The bridal party, consisting of the young couple, the attendants and two little flower bearers, entered the church as the Lohengrin wedding march was being played. The bride was attended by her cousin, Miss Alma Nelson, as maid of honor, Miss Alvina Belter and Miss Alfrieda Schueler; the groom by Arthur Franz, Herbert Nelson, and Harry Arnett. The little flower bearers were Vera Blake and Arthur Wiedenhoeft.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Franz home at Abbotsford, where all enjoyed a very pleasant evening.

The young couple are the recipients of many hearty congratulations and wishes for a happy wedded life, in which we gladly join.
