--------- Jones, James C. (15 FEB 1899 – 25 JAN 1974)

NEILLSVILLE, Clark Co., Wis. – James Carlton Jones of Neillsville, died Friday afternoon at the Clark County Hospital in Owen. He was 74 years of age.

Visitations may be made from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday at the Georgas Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.

Mr. Jones was born Feb. 15, 1899, in Castleton, Vt., and was married Feb. 16, 1952, at Fort Wayne, Ind., to the former Jean Campman Chesmore, who preceded him in death.

He was a veteran of World War I and was a former member of the American Legion.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lowell Gress, Neillsville, a sister, Mrs. Cyrus (Verna) Oakman, Rutland, Vt., and two grandchildren.

Preceding him in death, in addition to his wife, were two brothers, Harry and Clifford.
