--------- Drescher, Lydia (7 JAN 1885 – 25 JAN 1974)

NEILLSVILLE, Clark Co., Wis. – Services have been set for 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Georgas Funeral Home for Lydia Drescher, 89, a resident of the Neillsville Memorial Home, who died early Friday at Memorial Hospital.

Officiating will be the Rev. Gary L. Clark, pastor of the United Church of Christ, and burial will be made in the town of Grant Cemetery.

Friends may call beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

The former Lydia Machel was born Jan. 7, 1885, in Hungary, and came to the United States with her parents. After her marriage to Oscar Drescher on Jan. 26, 1903, in Clark County, they farmed in the town of Grant.

Following the death of her husband in 1941 she moved to Chicago, where she lived and worked in a hospital until 1948. She had been a resident of the Memorial Home here for the past several years.

Survivors include a son, Warren Drescher, Tacoma, Wash., and two grandchildren.
