--------- Beaver, Helen (20 FEB 1888 – 25 JAN 1974)

LOYAL, Clark Co., Wis. – Rites were conducted at 11 a.m. today (Monday) at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for Mrs. Helen Beaver, 85, of Loyal, who died at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Marshfield Convalescent Center.

The Very Rev. Norbert E. King, pastor, officiated, and interment followed in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ronald and David Hoeser, Perry Oestreich, Jack Beaver, Jack Fulwiler, and James Miller.

The former Helen Miller was born Feb. 20, 1888, in Watertown, Wis. She came to Loyal at the age of 13 and for a brief period worked in Milwaukee.

After her marriage to Nicholas Beaver on June 7, 1910, at Loyal, they operated a farm in the Loyal area until moving to the city in 1943. Her husband died Oct. 26, 1953. For the past two years she had resided at the Marshfield Convalescent Center.

She was a member of the Altar Society of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Leon (Florence) Hoeser and Mrs. Lothan (Margaret) Oestreich, both of Loyal, and Mrs. Robert (Dolores) Kujawa, Stevens Point; three sons, Howard Beaver, Watertown, James Beaver, Gautier, Miss., and Robert Beaver, Milwaukee, two brothers, Alvin and Max Miller, both of Loyal; four sisters, Mrs. Lydia Fulwiler, Loyal, Mrs. Tillie McIntyre, Neillsville, Mrs. Mollie Johnson, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Clara Marteneck, Iowa; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a grandson, a brother and a sister.

The Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, was in charge of arrangements.
