Hake, Thelma D. (Marriage – 16 Sept. 1936)

Miss Thelma D. Hake, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hake of Neillsville, became the bride of Albert Mashin, son of Geo. Mashin, Town of Hewett Sept. 16 at 10 a.m. at the home of the Rev. William Baumann, who preformed the ceremony before 30 relatives and friends.

Miss Hake was very attractively dressed in white satin with long train, high collar with buttons down the back, long sleeves, veil set on back of her head and carried a bouquet of roses and assorted flowers. The bridesmaid, Viola Hake, sister of the bride, wore a pretty costume of blue and pink moiré silk taffeta and carried a bouquet of roses and mixed flowers. Other maids were Anita Wedekind and Arsula Hubing. Ed Mashin, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and other attendants were Dale Hake and Jack Ebbe.

A wedding dinner was served to 30 at the home of the bride, the home being artfully decorated in pink and white. After the dinner cards were played by some of the guests. In the evening a dance was given at Hake’s which was attended by a large crowd and many useful gifts were received.

The bride, who was born and reared in this locality, is well and favorably known and has a host of warm friends. She was graduated from the Neillsville High School and the Eau Claire Accredited school of Beauty Culture. The bridegroom is a young man of quiet, industrious habits and popular among the younger set. He has been employed at the Rush Hake Farm and on the Hake Milk route.

The young couple left on a wedding trip of indefinite length to Chicago. The Press joins their many friends in extending congratulations and wishes for a long life of happiness.
