Kegley, Albert Henry (18 May 1858 – 10 Oct. 1936)

Albert Henry Kegley, son of Elias and Debello, Vernon County, Wisconsin, May 18, 1858, and after a long lingering illness passed away at his home at Viroqua, Saturday, morning, October 10, 1936, at the age of 78 years, four months and twenty-two days.

He was united in marriage to Armild Caroline Shreve on July 13, 1884. To this union seven children were born: Vern who died July 31, 1931, and one son who died in infancy; the rest are left to mourn his death. They are; Amos of East Troy, Wis.; Laura, Mrs. Lenus Olson of Hillsboro, Wis.; Iva, Mrs. Wm. Lodge, Elroy, Wis.; Edith, Mrs. Ralph Short, Neillsville, Wis.; Ray of Viroqua. The wife and mother of this union passed away on August 15, 1917. He was again united in marriage to Mrs. Arminda Withers on February 26, 1919, who is also left to mourn his death. He also leaves one brother, George Kegley, Hillsboro, Wis.; two sisters, Ellen Kegley, Hillsboro, and Mrs. Elmer Bruce, Viroqua; 10 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He started married life on a farm near Hillsboro where he resided until 1917 when he moved to Neillsville, after farming there until 1920, he moved to Viroqua where he resided until his death.

He united with the Christian church at Debello in the year 1914 and has been a faithful Christian ever since.

Funeral services were held from the home Monday, October 12 at 12:30 and at the Debello Church near Hillsboro at 2 o’clock. Burial taking place at the Debello Cemetery beside his former wife.

Pallbearers were grandsons of he and Mrs. Kegley.
