Funeral services were held Oct. 26 at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby. Rev. Mark Neumann presided. Burial was in Colby Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Dennis Leffel, John Bohman, Jason Bohman, Russell Dahlke, Randy Dahlke and Sean Graf. Community Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Mr. Leffel was born Nov. 8, 1913, in the town of Hull, Marathon County, to Henry and Dorothy (Meyer) Leffel. He went to school in the town of Frankfort. On June 19, 1964, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Imbach in Medford. He was a John Deere mechanic. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Leffel of Colby; his children, Alice (Kevin) Buchholz of Colby, Arlene Leffel of Wisconsin Rapids, and LaVern Leffel of Colby; his step-children, Mary Stibbe of St. Paul, Minn., Shirley (Dennis) Leffel of Milton, Kathy (John) Bohman of Stratford, Carol (Jerry) Dahlke of Edgar, Richard (Lynn) Stibbe of Edgar, and Joe Stibbe of Texas; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bernita Leffel of Schofield, Lucille Lueck of Peachtree City, Ga., and Ruth Benn of Schofield, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
