Surname: Foemmel, Lee, Manley Source: Neillsville Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 17 June 1937 Foemmel, Adeline Ruth (Marriage – 9 June 1937) Miss Adeline Ruth Foemmel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Foemmel, Chili, became the bride of Wenzel T. Lee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest W. Lee, also of Chili, at a double ring ceremony performed by Rev. E. P. Manley, pastor of Immanuel Evangelical church at two o’clock, Wednesday, June 9, at the home of the bride’s parents. Mrs. E. P. Manley played the wedding march as the bridal party slowly approached their stations under a white wedding bell which was suspended from pink and white crepe paper streamers which with spring flowers decorated the living room. The bride was attired in a floor length white satin wedding gown cap effect headdress trimmed with a long veil which fell from a wreath of orange blossoms and buds. She carried a shower bouquet of pink and white snapdragons and ferns. The bride was attended by her sister Alvina Foemmel who wore a floor length gown of pink silk chiffon. The groom wore a dark blue suit with a boutonnière of white flowers to match the bridal bouquet. He was attended by his brother Robert E. Lee who wore a light gray suit. A seven o’clock dinner was served with covers laid for nineteen. Pink and white color schemes were carried out in the table decorations with large pink and white wedding cake used as a centerpiece. The bride is a graduate of the Granton High School with the class of 1933. Mr. Lee is a graduate of McKinley High School of Marshfield with the class of 1929. Both bride and groom are members of the Immanuel Evangelical church at Chili. They left Thursday morning for a five day wedding trip to Wisconsin Dells through southern Wisconsin and Chicago. They will be at home after June 13 and will reside at Chili where the groom has employment.
