Obit: Kellner, Michael “Mike” (1888 - 1937)
Surname: Keller, Longenecker, Hrasky Source: Neillsville Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 24 June 1937 Kellner, Mike (31 Oct. 1888 – 22 June 1937) Mike Kellner, a farmer of the Town of Washburn, fell dead in his home, Tuesday morning. He was at the barn doing the chores when he felt sick and started for the house, but he fell on the way. Rousing up he managed to get in to the house, where he fell again and did not revive. He was in the forties, and leaves a wife and three small children. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Schiller’s Funeral home. Obituary next week. * * * * * Source: Neillsville Press (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.) 1 July 1937 Michael Kellner, whose death occurred June 22 at his home in the town of Washburn, was buried Friday at the Neillsville Cemetery, services being conducted at the Schiller Funeral Home by Rev. G. W. Longenecker. The Washburn choir furnished the hymns for the occasion. Mr. Kellner was born Oct. 31, 1888 in Czechoslavia, coming to the United States when 17 years old. For several years he made his home with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John Hrasky. On May 25, 1928, he was married to Miss Gail Short, three children being born to this union, Evelyn, Russell and Alvin, who with the widow are left to mourn his departure. He also leaves a brother, John in Czechoslavia. Mr. Kellner learned the cheese making trade and worked at the trade for several years. Mr. and Mrs. Kellner spent the first three years of their married life at Gibbon, Nebr., where he operated a cheese factory. The past 6 years they lived on a farm in Washburn.
