Healy, Ann (28 FEB 1917 – 29 MAY 2006)

Ann Healy, 89, Marshfield, formerly of Marshfield and Granton, died on Monday, May 29, 2006, at Wells Nature View CBRF, Marshfield, where she had been a resident for the past year.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, from 10 a.m. until time of the memorial service at 11 a.m., at the Buchanan Funeral Home, Neillsville. There will be a rosary service at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow at the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Ann Guzdro was born on Feb. 28, 1917, in Chicago, to Stanley and Caroline Guzdro. She attended school in the Chicago area and then moved as a teenager to Antigo where her family farmed. She was united in marriage to Tom Healy and the young couple lived in the Chicago area until his death in 1959. She continued to live and work as a waitress in the Chicago area until moving to a hobby farm in Granton with her brother, Joe. She worked for Figi’s for many years. When her brother died in 2000, she moved to Neillsville and then to Marshfield where she resided for the next 17 years. She was a beautiful seamstress and greatly enjoyed her family and her dog, Mitzie, who preceded her in death.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Caroline (James) Heaps, Eau Claire; her niece, Wanda (Walter) Osowski, Chicago, Ill.; her nephews, Terry (Elke) Halle, Arlington Heights, Ill., and John Gari, Arizona; and her sister, Estelle Gearica, Chicago, Ill.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband; and her brother, Joseph Guzdro.
