Keller, Anna Katherine (13 July 1856 – 19 Nov. 1937)

Anna Katherine Reinel was born at Johnson Creek, Jefferson County, Wisconsin, to Mr. and Mrs. G. Reinel, July 13, 1856, and passed away at her home in this city at 11:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 1937, of old age complications and toxene* pneumonia after an illness of about 10 days, having reached the age of 81 years, 4 months and 4 days.

She was married to Michael Keller at Farmington March 31, 1885. For five years after their marriage they lived at Raymond, S. D. moving from there to the southern part of the state and later to a farm in the town of Levis, Clark County, where they lived until 1918. Since then Mrs. Keller has made her home in Neillsville. Three sons and three daughters were born to them; George and Oscar, West Allis; Luella, Mrs. Ed. Coleman, Whitewater, Esther, Mrs. Carl Hartman, Waukesha, Mabel, Mrs. Ollie Linster, Weston Township, and Walter, at home. Besides her six children, Mrs. Keller is survived by a sister, Mrs. Emma Stephan, of Jefferson; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Keller passed away on Aug. 17, 1931.

Deceased was a kind and devoted wife and mother a great lover of flowers, and at the advanced age of 81 she was still active about her home and garden. She was a member of the Methodist church and of the Ladies’ Aid of that organization.

The funeral was held Monday Nov. 22, at 1:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church, Rev. E. P. Stone officiating, and interment taking place in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Fred Sems*, Robert Nelson, Berton Wells, Mr. Peasley, Albert Hemp, and Chas. Boilum acted as pallbearers.
