--------- Ingles (Ingalls), Fannie (1827? – 1 FEB 1915)

Mrs. Stephen Ingles (Ingalls on tombstone), whose life of usefulness came to a close at 2 o’clock Monday morning, Feb 1st, 1915, at the home of her granddaughter, Miss Fannie Winters, was a pioneer resident of our village (Unity, Wis.) and a woman admired and respected by all who knew her. She was born in Jefferson Co., N.Y., 87 years ago, and at the age of 20 years was married to the husband who departed this life 15 years ago. After her marriage the family moved to Concord, Wis., where they lived only a short time, then they moved to Unity, where she has since resided.

Mrs. Ingles was among the first of her sex to contribute to the welfare and share in the trials incident to pioneer life. She was a woman of love and devotion and did all things for the best and will leave to her memory a chapter of good deeds that will never be forgotten. A good woman has gone to her reward. She was the mother of four children, all of whom are dead but two. They are Mrs. Sarah Parsueau of Milstone, Montana, and Geo. E. Ingles of Los Angeles, Calif.

In addition to these, she is survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. The funeral services were held last week Wednesday, at 2 p.m. at the M.E. Church, Rev. Braddick officiating. The remains were laid at rest in the Brighton Cemetery.
