A very pretty fall wedding took place ay 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon October 30, at Salem’s Lutheran parsonage when Rev. Werner Gamb united Miss Irene Rose Riske, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Riske to Clarence Robert Leisinger, son of Louis Leisinger. The immediate relatives were present.

The maid of honor, Miss Esther Facklam, schoolmate of the bride, wore brown transparent velvet with hat and accessories to match. She carried a bouquet of garden flowers.

Mr. Everett Cleveland, of Greenwood, uncle of the bride was best man.

Miss Eva Plath of Spencer was the bride’s maid. She wore rust crepe with white hat and slippers. She carried a bouquet of garden flowers. Mr. Siegert Krasselt was her attendant.

The bride wore a bright blue silk flat crepe dress trimmed with rose beige lace with hat and veil to match grey gloves and slippers. She carried a bouquet of Betty Nutshell rust colored gladioli.

The groom wore a brown suit and the other 2 men wore blue serge suits. A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents which was attended by the intimate relatives.

The bride has been raised in this Corner and the groom came here two years ago from Salem, South Dakota.

Miss Lorraine Prechel, Miss Irene Facklam, schoolmates of the bride, Miss Margaret Gemmeke of Greenwood, cousin of the bride, were the waitresses.

The following guests were present Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Cleveland, son, Everett, Mr. and Mrs. Archie Cleveland, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Zell of Greenwood, Miss Margaret Gemmeke and Wm. Marvin of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Prechel. And family, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Engel and son, Dale and grandson, Harley; Mr. Henry Facklam and daughters, Esther and Irma, Mr. Louis Leisinger, Mrs. Tillie Leudtke, Mr. Seigert Krasselt and Miss Eva Plath.

The young couple was tendered a chivarie in the evening.

The house was decorated with cut flowers and a beautiful wedding cake made by Mrs. Engel was the center piece on the table. (Coles Corner Cor.)
