BioM: Ipsen, Minnie (1916)
Surnames: SCHMIDT IPSEN Source: COLBY PHONOGRAPH (Colby, Wis.) 01/13/1916 --------- Ipsen, Minnie (6 JAN 1916) On Thursday morning last at ten o’clock at the parsonage of Ebenezer Reformed Church, Rev. W.A. Arpke pronounced the words that united Mr. Alvin Schmidt of the town of Charlestown, and Miss Minnie Ipsen of the village of New Holstein, to the holy bonds of matrimony. The young couple were attended by Edward Schmidt, a brother of the groom, and Miss Frieda Ipsen, a sister of the bride. After the ceremony the bridal party drove to the home of the bride’s parents in the village of New Holstein, where they were given a wedding dinner followed by an afternoon of joyful celebrations of the happy event. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Ipsen and is a young lady of many attractions and superior traits of character. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. M. Schmidt of the town of Charlestown, and is a thrifty and industrious young farmer owning a farm near Colby on which he and his bride will make their home. The Times joins with their many friends in wishing them happiness and prosperity. (Chilton Times) Mr. and Mrs. Schmidt arrived in the city last Monday and will take up their residence in the town of Hull (Marathon Co., Wis.), on the farm formerly owned by Aug. Kegler near Riverside. We are glad to welcome the young couple to the community. |
