Surnames: KARNOPP DELO STOWE NEUMAN --------- The Loyal Tribune 15 October 1936 --------- Karnopp, Linda (14 OCT 1936) Wednesday afternoon at the home of Rev. Geo. Heilman, Miss Linda Karnopp, daughter of Mrs. Emma Karnopp, Unity, and Victor Delo, son of Mr.. and Mrs. Henry Delo, Beaver were quietly united in marriage. The bride was beautifully dressed in a gown of Royal Blue transparent velvet. She wore a tiny coronet of pale blue flowers. Pink and white roses, snap-dragons and carnations formed her bouquet. She was attended by her sister, Miss Elda Karnopp of Spencer and Miss Marjorie Stowe. Miss Elda and Marjorie were dressed in dark green dresses of moiré taffeta. Their dresses were ankle length and tiny jackets of many ruffles completed their dresses. They both wore wrist corsages of roses and snapdragons. Mr. Jerome Delo, a brother of the groom and Maynard Neuman were the groom’s attendants. A wedding supper was served at 6:30 at the home of the bride’s mother. Covers were laid for 45 guests. Green, blue and white streamers in harmony of the frocks decorated the home. The same evening a wedding dance was given at Riplinger. On Saturday evening, Oct. 3rd the couple were feted at a large shower in the Beaver Town Hall. Mr. and Mrs. Delo will make their home immediately with the groom’s parents. Mr. Delo is employed at the Geo. Foelsch cheese factory. Those who attended the wedding from away were: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Becker and son Lawrence of Manitowoc, Mr. August Becker and son Orville also of Manitowoc, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Weickmann and daughters Alice and Carol of Athens. The Tribune joins the many friends of the young couple in extending congratulations. |
