Obit: Braun, Catherine (1923 - 1993)
Source: Duane Horn Scrapbook (Probably from the TRG) Catherine Braun (4 DEC 1923 - 9 APR 1993) Catherine "Cathy" Braun, 69, 613 Valley Park Court, Eau Claire, passed away Friday, April 9, 1993, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn., after a brief illness and surgery. Cathy was born Dec. 4, 1923, in Greenwood to George and Blanche (Smith) Braun. She attended grade school in Greenwood, Milwaukee and Eau Claire. She graduated from Greenwood High School in 1941, and attended Eau Claire Vocational School the following year. She worked at Hutchen Industries of Eau Claire for 42 years. She also worked part-time jobs until retiring in September of 1992. Survivors include two sisters, Verna (Edward) Tellock of Wittenberg, Jean (Bernard) Bradley of Milwaukee; three nephews, James (Renae) Gabor of Elderon, Shawn Bradley and Shannon Bradley, both of Milwaukee; a niece, Sherri (David) Konkel of Wittenberg; a grandniece and three grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Neal, a brother-in-law Harry, and a niece, Nancy Gabor. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, at Bethesda Lutheran Church with Pastor John Wile officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood, Wisc. Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church Tuesday. Fuller Funeral Home is serving the family. |
