Thursday, 13 Oct. 1938 -----Ocheck, Sally (Marriage – 8* Oct. 1938) *Could be off. Miss Sally Ocheck of Greenwood, and Everett Eppers, Thorp, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Greenwood; Saturday morning. The following priests took part in the wedding ceremony: Rev. John Novak, pastor of Greenwood, acted as celebrant for the Soelmn high mass; Rev. Wm. Daniels of Cashton, as deacon; Rev. J. A. Biegler, CPPS, of Neillsville, as subdeacon, while Rev. Alloys Zinthefer of Loyal and Rev. Leo J. Lang of Colby acted as first and second master of ceremonies respectfully. Rev. Ansel Murn, OFM, of Willard; Rev. Charles Brady of Abbotsford, and Rev. Marcellus, OFM, of Willard, graced the occasion by their presence in the sanctuary. Over 150 people attended the wedding. The altars were beautifully decorated with dahlias and asters. The music was furnished by the children’s choir which had been trained under the direction of bride –Sally Ocheck, while one of the teaching Sisters played the organ. Breakfast was served in the pastor’s house where the bride had served as housekeeper for the last 16 years. After breakfast numerous pictures were taken and dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents. The bride was dressed in a gown of white velvet and a finger tip veil and carried white chrysanthemums. Helen Ocheck, sister of the bride, and the groom’s sister, Hazel Eppers, acted as bridesmaids, while Mrs. Elwood Le Due, also a sister of the bride, was matron of honor. The best men were Kenneth Eppers, Thorp, a brother of the groom, and George Gruber. |
