A pretty church wedding of much importance took place Thursday morning at 8:30 o’clock at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at Beaver Dam, Wis., when Miss Bertha Mary Jackson of Beaver Dam and Mrs. Alfred James Laneville of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in marriage, the Rev. Fr. Wm. Wright performing the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a gown of white taffeta, the circular skirt descended to the floor in graceful folds. A huge sash which formed a bown and the ends of which dropped to the floor was held fast by scallops in the front that started at the waist line and became large to form large capelets over the shoulders to tie at last in a tiny knot at the back of the neck. White kid gloves that reached to her shoulders and were fastened with three pearl buttons at the wrist. Her slippers were white satin and ribbed silk. Her veil which formed a train, was fastened to the head by a band of pearls, rhinestones and net. She carried a pearl gray prayer book and bouquet of pink roses and white sweet peas.

Miss Edithe Laneville, sister of the groom, was maid of honor. She wore a dress of yellow chiffon and net which descended to the floor in ruffles. She wore a cap of yellow chiffon and slippers and gloves to match. She carried a prayer book and bouquet of yellow roses.

Miss Clara Belle Lyons, and Miss Katherny McKinley, cousins of the bride, were bridesmaids.

Miss Lyons wore a dress of shell pink chiffon and transparent cap and gloves of white lace.

Miss McKinley wore a turquoise blue chiffon dress, cap, gloves and egg shell slippers.

Both carried a prayer book and bouquet with orange roses.

The groom wore a conventional black suit.

The best man, Virgil Jackson, brother of the bride, wore a dark suit, boutonniere of white sweet pears and a yellow rose.

A dinner was served to the bridal party and immediate relatives at the home of the bride’s parents.

Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. George Jackson, parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. John Laneville, parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. F. McErn and daughter Joyce and Miss Emmy Laneville of Withee, John Laneville, Jr., Dodgeville, Mrs. Emil Peters, Beaver Dam.

After October 18th, Mr. and Mrs. Laneville will be home in Dodgeville, Wis., following a wedding trip to Minnesota and Canada.
