Fisher, Davenport, Ia., was the scene of a pretty wedding when their niece, Miss Olive Crawford of Brooklyn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. Crawford, Canada, became the bride of Elmer W. Elstrom of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.). The attendants were Miss Mary Culver and Lloyd Bealer, both of Davenport. Before the ceremony, Miss Delilah Fisher, a cousin of the bride, played “Flower Song” and the strains of the “Bridal Chorus” from “Lohengrin” was sounded as the bridal party took their places before an improvised altar of peonies and ferns. The bride wore a gown of powder blue chiffon fashioned in princes lines with a close fitting bodice having a cape collar, and a long, flaring skirt. She carried pink roses. Miss Culver wore a pink chiffon gown and her flowers were roses. The bride was graduated from the Miles, Ia. High School and from the nurses training school of the Finley hospital in Dubuque. She ahs been residing in Brooklyn, N.Y., for the past four years. Mr. Elstrom attended schools in Wisconsin and is now a dairy farmer near Owen. |
